சேயாய் இருந்த வண்ணம்,  தாயின் ஒரு பாகமாய் இருந்தேன்; தனிபிறவியோ என்ற கேள்வி எழும்பி "நான் எனது என்னுடையது"  என்ற அகங்காரம் பிறந்தது; தனித்துவம் எனும் மாயையில்  திளைத்தேன்; தன்மானம் தேடி அலைந்தேன்; தனிமையில் விழுந்தேன்! ஒரு நாள் தனிமரமானேன்!! இறுதியில் "நான்" இறந்தது... நிழலும் இல்லாமல் நான் மறைந்தேன். சாரதி கிருஷ்ணன் பங்களிப்பு : நான்-ஐ நானே நாணக் செய்தால், நான் நாணி நிழலில்லாமல் மறைந்து போகும்? நான் இறங்கும் முன்னே நான்-ஐ இழந்தால், தருமனின் நாணும் நாணும்.
